Jonah started on the ground floor at HelioPower as an installer after receiving his renewable energy degree. Almost a decade later, as head of engineering and operations, he directs HelioPower’s engineering services and construction projects as well as procurement and asset management (O&M). He has participated in or overseen the installation of nearly 3000 solar and clean energy systems in the U.S. and abroad.
Jonah has extensive experience in the construction industry. Before joining HelioPower, he worked in his family’s construction business, a firm with a 25 year track record in high end residential retrofits.
As a tropical naturalist Jonah has traveled to Costa Rica and Guatemala as well as conducted research doing a multi-year inventory of the birds of the Yosemite National Park. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, running, climbing, and camping in remote mountains of California.
Jonah received his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Prescott College in Arizona and a associates degree in solar energy system design and installation at San Juan College in New Mexico. He is certified by the industry standard North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP™). He also holds a California solar contractor’s license (C-46) and is working towards his Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential.
A northern California native, Jonah and his family reside in southern California in close proximity to the company’s Murrieta headquarters.
