Steve Huang manages legal matters for HelioPower and its affiliated companies, including negotiating lines of credit, bridge loans and take out financing agreements with financial institutions, developing supply agreements with manufacturers and minimizing risk exposure across corporate governance, employment and construction-related matters.
Mr. Huang began his career as a litigation attorney. In this role, he successfully advocated on behalf of clients in the state and federal courts of Illinois, New Jersey and New York, as well as arbitration proceedings before the NASDAQ and the NYSE. These experiences fueled a desire to join the client side of the industry.
Throughout his career, Mr. Huang has been involved with over 150 MW of solar projects, including establishing a multi-million dollar solar thermal, solar electric and mounting business for Schuco USA, LP as its Territory Manager for Northwest America and helping the Solar Energy Solutions Group of Sharp Electronics Corp. capture and retain the top market share during his tenure as its Associate Director of Reseller Channels. Mr. Huang has also authored a number of articles discussing corporate governance, shade control and tax credit issues.
Mr. Huang holds a BS from the University of Illinois, a JD from the Tulane University School of Law and a MBA from the University of Southern California. Mr. Huang is a member in good standing of the State Bars of Illinois and New York.
