Sales Executive, Energy Systems

Location:  CA 

Description:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving HelioPower commercial sales activity in the wastewater industry, and primarily in the western U.S. This senior level executive will need to sell a range of complex and large integrated energy solutions at the executive, Board, and Council level. The executive will be tasked with selling integrated solutions including photovoltaics (PV), solar thermal, fuel cell, bio-mass, energy analytics, professional services, and other related solutions. This is a consultative selling process in which the Executive must excel.  This position reports to the VP of Commercial Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow-up with leads from multiple sources
  • Analyze client energy usage and determine financial return on investment
  • Conduct site evaluations for potential customers
  • Accurately bid systems for our customers
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Manage customer communications and expectations
  • Keep HelioPower CRM up to date

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years public sector technology & professional services sales experience
  • PV and other distributed energy systems sales experience
  • 5+ years water/ wastewater industry experience
  • Ability to master and advance a complex and finance driven solution
  • Strong contact base in the wastewater industry
  • Ability to navigate complex energy tariffs and industry energy issues
  • Strong presentation skills
  • A BS degree in engineering is desired
  • Salesforce and Microsoft Office user expertise a strong plus
